SoftconCIS at the 12th Forum for Controlling and Reporting

The German Association for Materials Management, Purchasing, and Logistics (BME) held its 12th Forum for Controlling and Reporting on June 21–22. Around 50 participants exchanged ideas on exciting topics in the pleasant atmosphere of the Ramada Hotel in Bad Soden. A particular highlight was the presentation by Ralph Ulmer, Head of Purchasing Strategic Business Unit Drive Technology, Senior Vice President, HOERBIGER Antriebstechnik Holding GmbH, entitled “Purchasing Controlling in the Automotive Environment.”

He showed how an efficient purchasing controlling process can strengthen strategic purchasing in the long term:

  • Goals of purchasing controlling for the automotive industry
  • Selected key figures (practical examples)
  • Lessons learned

The topics at the SoftconCIS booth also sparked lively discussions among purchasing professionals. Dashboards, reporting, and key figures were of particular interest.

For our prospective customers, one thing was also very clear: dashboards remain a must in purchasing, as does spend management with a savings tracker. The SoftconCIS savings tracker generates suggestions for improvement from purchasing data and automatically displays potential savings. It thus meets the typical purchasing requirement of achieving savings quickly and sustainably.

We were particularly pleased with the praise for our Purchasing Controlling Academy, which was also expressed by non-customers. Incidentally, the next event – the Purchasing Controlling Trend Day – will take place on October 17.
