It allows attackers to access encrypted data such as passwords, addresses, and bank details if they are on the same (W)LAN network as their victims. Users of Internet Explorer 6 on Windows XP are particularly at risk, but newer browsers can also be manipulated into using the outdated SSL version. SoftconCIS web servers are protected against such attacks because they use the secure TLS 1.2 PFS protocol. As a precaution, we have also disabled the faulty version 3.0.
