• SoftconCIS once again partner and exhibitor at the BME Forum Controlling and Reporting in Purchasing in Frankfurt am Main on July 12-13, 2016
  • Presentation by SoftconCIS customer Witzenmann Group: From reactive payment management to proactive control

Munich, May 12, 2016 — SoftconCIS, a specialist in purchasing controlling, will present its new “Savings Tracker” at the 11th BME Forum on Controlling and Reporting in Purchasing on July 12 and 13 in Frankfurt am Main. This solution allows users to identify savings potential that can be implemented immediately at the touch of a button. In addition, the Savings Tracker generates suggestions for improvement from existing purchasing data and shows how companies can both optimize their processes and save costs in purchasing.

From twelve analysis categories with over 100 tried-and-tested questions from the areas of purchasing controlling and strategic purchasing, the Savings Tracker creates differentiated and practical suggestions for reducing costs and expenses, increasing efficiency, identifying future risks, and improving the strategic alignment of purchasing. For example, the solution provides information on incorrectly used payment terms, incorrect prices, or price benchmarking. It highlights competitive potential, reduces maverick buying, and leads to significant order process optimization. Whether supplier, currency, process, compliance, or framework agreement analyses – the Savings Tracker incorporates a wealth of analyses into its evaluations and can therefore deliver accurate results and suggestions. More information is available at www.savings-tracker.de.

In addition, CoftScon CIS will be showcasing its proven purchasing control system WebCIS. Even the standard version of this solution includes numerous dashboards such as product group, key figure, supplier evaluation, and purchasing manager dashboards. These can be easily adapted to company-specific requirements; they illustrate relevant facts in a way that is tailored to the target group and thus form the basis for well-founded decisions.

Presentation: “From reactive number management to proactive control – purchasing controlling in transition”

Roland Seemann, Head of Materials Management/Purchasing and Global Head of Procurement at SoftConCIS customer Witzenmann, will explain how purchasing controlling has changed and gained in importance over the last 25 years. In his presentation on July 12 at 11:45 a.m., he will use concrete examples to illustrate the development of purchasing controlling from reactive number management to a proactive control instrument. Relevant advances include the ability to define key performance indicators specific to each company and map them in the system, as well as clearly presenting and reporting the value contribution of purchasing using key performance indicators. The development of an effective purchasing control system also requires all processes and organizational structures to be reviewed so that purchasing can fulfill its strategic role. The Witzenmann Group, headquartered in Pforzheim, Germany, is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of flexible metal elements such as metal hoses, expansion joints, metal bellows, and vehicle components.

“With our new Savings Tracker, companies can convert their purchasing data into cash. At the touch of a button, they can see where short-term, medium-term, and long-term savings potential lies and how they can exploit it,” explains Werner Güntner, Managing Director of SoftconCIS. “Our diverse analyses and numerous pre-built and customizable dashboards give companies the tools they need for their individual strategic purchasing controlling. We are delighted to be presenting solutions at this year’s BME Purchasing Controlling Forum that help companies strategically position their purchasing controlling, identify savings potential, and realize it.”
